Day 01 AIRPORT / Habarana / Pinnawala
Arrival in Colombo. Welcome and assistance on arrival at the airport You’ll be transferred to Habarana ONTHE WAY with a visit to the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. This project was initiated by the Government of Sri Lanka to take care of baby elephants that are lost or abandoned in the wild. Now it has become one of the hottest tourist destinations in the isle, where anyone can witness the innocence of the second largest land animal without a fear. While you are here, you will be offered the rare opportunity to observe the feeding of the elephants. Bath time is enjoyed by all elephants, young and old alike and it is a good time to closely observe their tightly knit family structure, which is also a marvellous photo opportunity. Daily feeding times - 9.15 am, 1.15 pm, and 5.00 pm. bathing times 10.00 am, 2.00 pm, and 4.00 pm.
Day 02 Sigiriya Rock Fortress / Ancient City of Anuradhapura
Morning visit to the famous and spectacular Sigiriya Rock. Sigiriya often called the 8th Wonder of the World, the Complex consists of the central rock, rising 200 meters above the surrounding plain, and the two rectangular precincts on the east (90 hectares) and the west (40 hectares), surrounded by two moats and three ramparts. The famous murals would have covered most of the western face of the rock, covering an area 140 meters long and 40 meters high. There are references in the Graffiti to 500 ladies in these paintings. Then visit the lit-up city of Anuradhapura which is an ancient capital whose splendours lasted for more than 1400 years. Sri Maha Bodhi (the Sacred Bo-Tree) claims to be the oldest documented tree in the world. Visit the Loha Prasada (Brazen Palace), Ruwanweli Seya Dagoba: this dagoba is among the more impressive of Anuradhapura’s monuments if only because of its huge size. Thuparama Vatadage; this shrine, immediately to the north of the Ruwanweli Seya, is the oldest in Sri Lanka and contains the collarbone of the Buddha, Royal Palace; the ruins date from the 12th century AD
Day 03 Ancient City of Polonnaruwa / JeepSafari
Fuelled by a hearty breakfast the day begins by exploring one of the best kept ruins of ancient Ceylon - the UNESCO World Heritage City of Polonnaruwa. This was the Capital of Sri Lanka from the 11th to 13th century, which was a well-planned medieval city defended by enclosing walls, graced by palaces, shrines, monasteries, pavilions, parks, ponds and irrigation lakes. Polonnaruwa is strewn with ruins in a resplendent state of preservation.

The 'Gal Vihara' which consists of statues of the recumbent, standing and seated Buddha have been cut from a single granite wall and rank among the true masterpieces of Sri Lankan Art.


The ‘Gathering’, the largest concentration of Elephants in Asia, happens when over 300 gather on the grassland that sprouts on the receding shores of Minneriya Lake.The Gathering at Minneriya is now ranked sixth amongst the world’s greatest wildlife spectacles by Lonely Planet and occurs every year from around June to Ocotber, with numbers peaking from August onwards.
Day 04 Dambulla Golden Temple / Spice Gardens
After breakfast leave to visit the Rock (Cave) temple at Dambulla – famous for its 1st Century BC caves and temple complex, which is an archaeological treasure. The rock temple is a series of 05 caves that has a painted area of more than 20000-sq ft of Buddhist murals. A 47-ft sleeping Buddha carved out of the rock dominates the main cave.Proceed to Kandy, en route visit a spice garden at Matale. For centuries spices have been one of Sri Lanka’s most celebrated exports. Spices are grown in home gardens as a home industry and used not only to flavor food but also as home remedies. Sample such scents and flavors as cinnamon, ginger, pepper, vanilla, cardamom etc.
Day 05 Temple of Tooth Relic / Kandyan Dance show / Gem Museum
AM | Visit the city of Kandy. Kandy is a beautiful historical city in the citadel of the country.Return to the Hotel. PM | Visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic – the creation of the last king Sri Wickramarajasinghe. It is not only known for its great kings who independently ruled the city for almost 225 years until the British took over in 1815. It is also the place where the Sacred Tooth of Lord Buddha is housed in a magnificent Temple. Visit a gem museum and view a show on gems and gem mining, view a Kandyan cultural dance in the evening.Return to the Hotel
Day 06 Nuwara Eliya / Ramboda Waterfall / Tea Plantation's
After breakfast leave for Nuwara-Eliya, en route visit a Tea Plantation and a Tea Factory – Labookelle & Blue field or Glen Loch. Ceylon tea is acclaimed as the best tea in the world. The influence of climatic conditions imparts variety of flavors and aromas, synonymous with quality. The cultivation and manufacture of tea is presently a highly skilled, scientific and technical process, with Sri Lanka producing some of the most fragrant teas in the world.
Day 07 Horton Plains / Boat Ride / Nuwara Eliya City Tour.
After an early breakfast, we will leave for Horton Plains- the highest plateau in the country, which is one of the very important National parks in Sri Lanka known for its topographical variations.

It has unique vegetation and is famous for many rare and endemic highland birds. The most overwhelming physical feature of the Horton Plains is the escarpment that falls 880 meters to the lowlands of the southern region of the island. Aptly known as the ‘World’s End’ the view from the precipice of the countryside below towards the south coast is spectacular. Dawn or early morning is the best time for observing it. Horton’s plain National Park harbours 12 species of endemic birds. The following birds are recorded only at Horton Plains, the Sri Lankan Blue Magpie, Dusky Blue Fly Catcher and Sri Lanka Wood pigeon.
Day 08 Rawana Waterfall / Jeep Safari at Yala National Park
After breakfast leave for Yala. En route visit Rawana Waterfalls, a sight to behold with a scenic backdrop of mountains and valleys. It is featured in the Rawana mythology, where Sita is said to have bathed from this waterfall while she was in captivity,

On arrival in Yala, check in at the hotel. In the afternoon commence a jeep safari in the Yala National Park by private jeep accompanied by a tracker. Yala National park is one of Sri Lanka's premier eco tourist Destinations and is renowned for its variety of wildlife notably its many elephants. It is also home to the spotted deer, sambar, wild buffalo, sloth bear, jackal, mongoose and crocodiles. The peacock is easily the most famous of the birds in this park. Yala has a high concentration of Leopards although seeing these nocturnal carnivores still requires some luck.
Day 09 Galle Fortress / Turtle Hatchery
After breakfast, visit Galle city. Galle was said to have been the city mentioned in the Bible as “Tarshish”. It was also a stronghold of the Dutch traders in early years as the sea port was very useful for exporting spices grown in the island to Europe. The city still retains much of its old world charms and is a showcase of Dutch culture and architecture. Visit to a Turtle Hatchery.
Day 10 Beach Leishre / Relax
Spend the full day at leisure in Bentota delightfully located along one of the finest beaches on the South West coast. Spend the afternoon at leisure watching the waves as they bounce off the sun-kissed sands.
Now that you are at the end of your journey with us, after breakfast your chauffeur will comfortably take you to the international airport in time for your departure flight.
